
This is another older work, but one that I’m pretty proud of even now. We visited a manmade pond on the most beautiful lake spring day. There were dragonflies everywhere, and I got such a sunburn.
I don’t usually do a lot of landscapes, but I had fun using underpainting techniques while painting this one. It was done with gouache, which I’m developing a deep love for. I love how bright the colors can be and the effects of layering them without them usually muddying each other.
