I figured while I’m at it, that I’d go ahead and tell you about my Self Portrait project. I decided that every year I would draw at least one self portrait, and not worry too much about personal style or influences, to show the changes over the years both in the way I look and also in the way I draw. This one is one of the older ones, actually the first since I started this project, but it was still a lot of fun to do. I’m happy for the practice that it gives me in caricature as well, though I don’t go over the top, but it’s fun to study the different features of people and what impressions they leave.

I personally think that self portraits are a real challenge and I plan to continue them as I’m able.
