Another older work, but one I’m still very fond of. I really love working with pens and ink, though admittedly I think my inking skills are lacking. This is something I’d like to improve on this upcoming year, because I love to see linework, and I feel it’s an extremely important part of illustration in general. This work was done entirely with a multicolored ballpoint pen, and a regular ballpoint pen, much like the sort you can get during back-to-school sales.
This picture is of a character of mine, a sorcerer named Dendus. He’s had many incarnations over the years, but I’ve always loved drawing him, and I love writing for him, too. He walks that line between good and evil so often that it just makes it so much fun to get into his head and write what he’d choose to do.
