I know it’s been a while since I’ve written, and honestly, I blame it on moving, and my own procrastination. I know that I’m terrible at keeping up with regular updates, which is something that I would like to change about myself.
I recently moved, which is always exciting, but also an exhausting experience. Now I’m in the process of getting the yard to look the way I’d like it, which is very hard in a Florida summertime full of scorching heat, lots of rain, and lots and lots of mosquitoes out for my blood!
I haven’t been completely idle creatively, and I’ve been trying to figure out what direction to take the blog and my website, mostly because I’m so scatterbrained that I love and pursue so many different types of things. I’ve taken to writing ideas down in notebooks of projects I want to do, or whatever strikes my fancy.
For about a year now I’ve also been playing D&D, and I’ve found some joy in creating digital maps for Roll20, or other online D&D tabletops. This is kinda cool because my fiancé is also a D&D nerd (now you all know where I got started) so it’s fun to show him what I’ve made and nerd out over it.
This map is called “Bird Island” (my niece and nephew named it, because it resembles a bird’s head) and I’m looking forward to subjecting my players to its secrets eventually. Spoiler alert if any of you know about this blog, haha! Don’t tell the others! This was created in GIMP and Procreate.
